 "Mr. Ferris' House"

As a boy I used to spend a great deal of time at Mr. Ferris' house.  He was a charming old Englishman. His whole backyard was taken up by gardens with a chicken coop and breeding kennels for cocker spaniels.   Hanging in this magical garden were these birdhouses made from coconuts. Wrens and chickadees and nuthatches were always in residence.

When I was seven, Mr. Ferris gave me one of these houses which I still have today.  Mr. Ferris is long gone now, but  his charming birdhouses live on. I drill a one-inch entry hole, a drain hole in the bottom and a hole in the top for the brass hanger, which is provided.

You can also choose another model that is designed to be attached to a wall or tree. In this case the mounting hole for is drilled in the back.  A brass mounting screw and washer are provided.  Hang them 7 to 10 feet off the ground. These houses are virtually indestructible. Squirrels and time will not damage them.

--A. Robinson

The hanging model shown here (with metal hanging wire) costs $25.

The wall mounted version (also with mounting hardware) is also $25.

Normal Delivery 2-3 weeks.  Rush arrangements may be made.
